Criminal background reports for employment purposes are subject to the same accuracy laws as credit reports.  In some circumstances, an even higher standard of accuracy applies to criminal background reports.  If some company’s sloppy procedures have resulted in false reporting that kept you from getting a job, they should have to pay.
